Labrums, based in St Albans has been shortlisted in four categories of the inaugural Hertfordshire Digital Awards – more than any other entrant

Labrums is shortlisted in the ‘responsive website’, ‘use of social media for business’, ‘blog’ and ‘website’ categories.

Michael Labrum, senior partner at Labrums Solicitors, said: “The Solicitors traditional image of being old fashioned and out of step is often justified.

“We try very hard to give clients the service they want how they want it.

“Digital media is central to how we try to do that, so it is very satisfying to be nominated for these awards when so many other great businesses competing for them.

“The icebreaker is a chance for like-minded professionals to get together and network.”

Andy Pritchard, founder of the Hertfordshire Digital Awards, said: “The response has been amazing. We have received 354 entries across the 14 categories. So many people are using digital media for their businesses and it seemed a shame not to shout about it.

“Digital media is the answer to an age-old problem of how to engage with clients and customers instantly. Businesses need to adapt like our finalists and reach out to their customers in new ways.

“Labrums have been able to do that in an effective way and that’s why they are finalists in four categories.

“They have achieved results in the right way and they are setting an example for others to follow. It’s difficult to get it right, but when you do, you can reap the benefits.”
